BEAT!

Just came back from Boon Keng MRT. Was chatting with Boon Kiat and Liu Jing (Green Club Seniors) about the happenings bout the Camp and green club. Chatted for about 6 hours. Oh, so sorry for not updating the blog, was really BZ. and heres why:

The hols are here, but i seem to be BZ-er and BZ-er. I had 3 camps running one after another. Friday to Sunday 26th-28th of MAY was the AKE(annual kayaking expedition) MINI expedition. For those who dunno wads that, its a selection camp for participants who wants to participate in the actual AKE on the 2nd-5th of JUNE. So i went to meet YF at J8 after skl, then go SAFYC together. All went well.the camp officially ended at 5pm, but Logistics wad, so have to clear up all the mess before i can leave the premise. So i actually left SAFYC at 9pm, and ate dinner at J8. ate LJS. Reached home at 11pm. BUT, i cannot rest yet, cause i have to pack my stuffs for Green Club Camp from 29th-31st of May. Slept at 12.30am that night, and woke up at 6am the next morming.

Then was the Green Club Camp. The camp is a joint event between SAJCGC (Saint Andrew's Junior College Green Club) and MINDS (Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore). The purpose of the camp is to teach them how to be independent, and to let them enjoy themselves, to be inclusive into the society. SAJC students (GC members + ppl from Mr Lim classes + Some Councillors...) were there as mentors to guide the trainees throughout the camp, and to interact with them. Our Clients range between 18-35 or even older, all adults. But they are interllectually disabled, having the interlect of children ranging from 6-7 years old, thus might require some help in some areas. the 1st day, the mentors went to the MINDS centre to meet the trainees and to see their working area, and see how they recycle phonesets (those used by SIA), repacking them, their various handicrafts (the handicrafts are really goot, and no 2 are the same) , how they recycle paper and price tagging. We also picked our secret pal, and we are suppose to do good things for them. Back at SAJC, we had lunch. We borrowed utensils from the Muslim stall, used and washed them (self-reliance). Dinner was a mixture of BBQ food and catered food. Yes! BBQ, first in SAJC. I slept for bout 2 1/2 hrs that night, cause got sentry duty. Next morning we visited Hay's Dairy Goat Farm. Both the mentors and trainees had a wonderful time there, and we grew closer to each other. We had lunch out, @ Broadway Foodcourt. then played games, dinner then finally night. it was so touching, where everyone sat together to sing, dance, and appreciated the presence of one another. Today, we made breakfast, yes made. We had hotdogs, eggs, bread and spreads, topped with warm milo. All prepared by the students. Then we revealed our secret pals, exchanged gifts, and shared our thoughts. Then was a video on the events that happened in the last 3 days. The trainees left the campus at 1440hrs, concluding the camp.

Reflection:
People might think that we must be crazy, why bother to bond with a group? Well, that was my initial thought too. But after meeting the trainees and getting to know them more, i sensed that they are just like us, just that they are slower in learning. Some trainees cannot speak english or chinese but they are easily contented. Dispite the language barrier,most of the clients CLICK vv well with the students. Every student at the camp was vv patient towards the clients. And looking at them, sharing the joy was such a heartwarming sight. We were not in reality, we were in Paradise. We all gave our heart, accepted them with all our heart. During the time i spent with my trainee in this few days, i realised how simple life is. Instead of being contented with wad we already have, we yearn for more, numbed our senses. We can never be satisfied. Rather, the joy in life is within our reach, just that we cannot sense it. Our lives are much better off, compared to them, we are blessed with what we have. We gave our support, our hands and legs, but most importantly, we gained an unforgettable 3days with a group of wonderful souls, and gained wisdom.
I never regretted joining GC, with all the events and dream every member possess, we strive to excel. Green Club is not a CCA that plants and maintain the vegetation in school, rather, we work out of our comfort zone, reaching out to others in need, exploring untamed grounds, host coperate events, all for the sake of a better world, and not only a greener city.

Ah... A Post...

Aiyoh! SAJC lost to VJC in soccer la! So sad. today , Me Teehao John Elias Kevin Millardi went to watch the INTENSIVE soccer semi-finals. it was so Saddening la. the whole 1st half was crap. all passes, no attempt to score from SAJC side. VJC had 2 attempt to score, but Goal Keeper Pro, so never score. 2nd half, VJC was pressing on SA, Jammed our Goal Post with multiple shots. then, lucky lucky got 1 ball came aiming towards the GoalPost. The goal Keeper missed it, it kept flying, with increasing velocity. a SA defender sees it, chased after the ball. 1 second before the ball enters the post, he finally touches it. tries to clear, kicking it up. the ball changes direction, every1 thought it was over. but the ball missed the exit, it entered the goalpost. 1-0 to VJ.
The match Carried on. SAJC was obviously under pressure by VJ. their skills were clearly inferior to theirs (sad to say, but its true). SA had various chances, free kicks, corners, throw ins, but they didnt manage to make use of it. the match continued. VJ got the ball acrossed the mid line, made passes, then entred the penalty box, attempt to score and BOOM! a SA defender kicked the ball away. Wad a relief. but NO! its a foul! the referre awarded a penalty kick to VJ. HE aims, He waits, HE shoots. and its a goal. the goalkeeper missed it.
the rest of it is crap, i shant elaborate further. sians....final score,
VJ 2- SA 0
NVM, THERES ALWAYS NEXT YR! win the 3rd at least.

Haiz, since a few days since i last blogged. So update now lor!

Monday- OUT of SC, didnt make it past the interview... its the written part i guess!

Tuesday- Nothing much, realli nothing, just a normal day

Wednesday- Green Club meeting, then discussed bout the Camp, then go see how to setup a BBQ pit, cause we having BBQ in skl! First time in SAV i guess. then played maple, leveled up ti LVL 19! yay...haha

TODAY- having PW now, long day la, so ya, having lessons till 1545hrs, cause PE cancelled. gd lor, more time to maple !

oh! my bro is sick, damn sick. suspect case of Dengue fever, but blood test shows negative. Fever up and down, got take medicine. currently missed like 3 exam papers? dunno how he can survive la, WISH HIM WELL!

FRIDAY=DOOM DAY

haiz... Fridays are suppose to be the day most people look forward to, as it marks THE END OF THE WORKING WEEK! but....unfortunately for 06S04 of SAJC, its the most unlookforwarded day of the week...why? cause got 4 god damn sun of a b**** periods of MRS KANG YUK HUAN (u know her...).This summation (arh...maths...) of hatred is definately not bulid up in 1 day (3 metres of snow is not because of a day's winter- chinese). wanna know what happened? go visit alan's blog ( alanz.blogdrive.com ) , and read the post on Friday, May 05, 2006 for thwe full review of yesterday's incident.

i just wanna add somethings. SHE HATES CHINA SCHOLARS! i pity them la. although they have a problem with their articulation, i dun think they deserve that kind of treatment by MRS KANG LA. wad i mean is, do u wanna be cut off in the middle of ur presentation? do u like the feeling of being told off in front of the class? DO U LIKE THAT KIND OF DISCREMINATION? how can a teacher do that? are u sure u are a role model for ur students? OH! did i mention that she makes fun of people's voices? POOR SOPHERA, we all know that she has a voice with high pitch, but thats not something she can control. we dont find it hard to understand her,we dun find her voice any different. MUST U CALL HER A TELLYTUBBY? (yes, she said that.) as a teacher, u calling others names, issit approprate?
although she stated that in a polite tone, and said that it is nothing to offend her, and she didnt mind...MUST U DO THAT?AND U CALL urself a SENIOR TEACHER, guiding fresh teachers. What kind of MOMENTUM (PHYSICS ROCKS..and PI too?) are u setting? WITH HER<>

2day, council interview...haha...so fun la...arguing with the interviewers. 3 MALE teachers , 1male and female councillor. well.we talka lot, and i think i answered well la... hope can get in... if not, then it proves something... im not up for something that great. WELL, council or not, ONCE A SAINT, ALWAYS A SAINT!. and i will support the skl through other means...

WAD A WEEK MAN!

haha...green wk so fun. u ppl shouldd come to sa man...didnt blog cuz no time. too bz playing maple. ya. anyway...this wk just got back 2 test. econs 7/12 and maths inequalities, 4/10 yay. then got house council voting, ya.

JUST came back from AKE prep. then quite fun. as usual, log is always under manpower. so i superman again...then slack. do paperwork, fill in the form for log items. ya. then the meeting vv useful, can shoot ppl ... marist will be helping in AKE again...yay...for the dunno how many years...yay...

during the meeting, CPT OLIVER said this, each sea school will send 6 pax for the actual ake.

its like wad the F*** la. if u limit 6 from each skl, then the EXPEDITION will definately be delayed. so wad the point of kiking out ppl from ake when their weak? the best from a skl might be weaker then the 7th person in another skl...its not fair lor...

then the actual ake rite, falls in the period where ploy ppl are having their tests. then 60% of the helpers cannot make it...the OIC, 2IC, COXWAIN, MANY PPL IN THE BOAT, blah blah blah. the wad the pt of asking then to go for all the prep, then din go actual...rite? so its like so unfair.
but BOSS say cannot postpone, maybe because all the things settled, so cannot change le.then have to get TK ppl, and other CLTS. hope can work out. lol...

sorry ppl, didnt update the blog for some time le, too bz playing MAPLE. no la. got play, bot got other stuffs as well.

Thursday was a long day, left skl at 2130hrs, ate dinner at 2145, reached home at 11pm. then went to sleep. CUZ got Green Club Stuff! from MONDAY 17th April to FRIDAY 21st April is Earth Wk! so excited...yay..so the JC1s and some JC2s went to set up the Exhibition in th Library. it started at 1715hrs, and ended super late, 2130hrs. we made structures, tie knots here and there, till my hand red colour. maybe u can see some ropes red colour de...haha...jkjk. but we tied and retied the structure, so a lot of effort! PPL IN SAJC MUST SUPPORT THE GREEN CLUB!!! and visit our blue water volunteers booths and buy some stuffs, support us! OH. did i tell u iwent out of skl just to buy 12 bamboos ( those for drying the clothes 1) during my break, then walk back to skl, look so retarded la, come to think of it. haha, so many SAINTS was looking at me thinking this guy siao ar, carry 12 bamboo sticks around potong pasir, must be mad...

Friday, was suppose to go for a 4B OUTING, but was grounded, plus no $$ so stayed at hme, to pack up my table, and do physics tutorial. wanted to post, but my bro invited his pri skl frends over to have a mini gathering. so cannot use comp, so cannot blog, so did hmwk, watched HUO YUAN JIA( didnt realli like it, but i like meaning behind the story, bout RESPECT) then slp, cause going to woodlands on SAT.

Saturday, 1st tution lesson with JieXi and Likha, at woodlands library. reached the door at 0830hrs in the morning la, too early, so i camp there, read up on phys, play handphone, till 10 am, then they open up the door.

Today, woke up at 0745am, then took 70 to YCK mrt. was sleeping on the bus, then reach le i dunno, then the bus conductor had to wake me...so malu...but was no time, reached Woodlands Library at 094ohrs. gd toming la, had tution, then eat, ten hme. lol.

YAwNZ! wad a day man!

hey, first post of the day. here goes...

today was screwed... totally. reached school at 0640hrs, super early. then went through normal lessons... first stop, Chinese lesson. our class have to design 2 drawings fo the front cover of this 2 stories tat she went through during lesson time. so every1 was given a piece of plain paper to draw their own cover. then she was walking around, choosing ppl to join the competition, and guess who got selected... me!... kill myself. now, i have to do 2 additional homwork for chinese...haiz...gota submit it on monday. oh, i oso bought tix for SAJC CO concert. why? cause my chi teacher is the co teacher, and she cannot sell off her tix... so ya, we have to buy FOR her lor.almost every1 in my class bought.

then it was GP. damn screwed up. cause got ms KANG. the B****. nobody in SAJC likes her la. lucky onli got 1hr wif her. then talked a lot of rubbish, and waste time. mrs kang teach GP for 2 yrs...i think i fail le...

then went for PW. go there talk. Mr Fong ask me to fill up this Student Councillor Form, for my normination. guess my life as a student councillor is about to start. So much involvement...dunno can tahan a not. got NCC(2 skls and ake LAND IC), GREEN CLUB, TUTOR( jiexi and maybe likha), maybe still got council... habas.

then was chem. finally was listening to the lecture.YAY. so proud of myself. skl is suppose to end le, for me. but got the security talk, listen to all the mindef all over again, see all the familar vids, feels like im attending the CLT course all over again...miss those days.

then went for Singapore Maths Olympiads slection test. so sad, cannot do the questions.lol...then got green club meeting, at 1745 liddat. cause got to set up the library for our exhibition 2 molo, so no choice, must meeting. then went to scout for things to but... so tired and hungry at tat time le... poor thing...guess no tution for jiexi 2 molo... saturday and sunday 1000hs at woodlands library...dun be late.

I wanna go out on friday! but no $$ and cannot go(mummy dun let) nvm, i will try to persuade my mommy. i will try my best. dun worry my fwends.

Welcome to my blog! after 17 yrs, i am finally doing something to record down my glorious life. heehee. anyway, before i OFFICIALLY start blogging, i wanna thank the person who went through the effort to help me make this blog, and the person is non other than JieXi

the blog u see now is super screw up, cause no time to blog and stuff, so nvm. we can slowly improve on it. rite JIEXI! i dun think i like the skin, i wanna change it, after i find a better 1.
